General Information
The conference is jointly organized by the University of Wuppertal and the Technical University of Darmstadt and will be held September 30th to October 2nd in Wuppertal, Germany.
The sessions will take place at Campus Haspel at the University of Wuppertal.

By airplane
The two closest international airports are Frankfurt Airport (FRA) and Düsseldorf Airport (DUS). There are convenient train connections between Wuppertal and Frankfurt (direct connection, 1:45 h) and Düsseldorf (1 change, 45 min).
By car
Wuppertal is connected to the main road network by the B7 which passes close to the city center and the Campus Haspel. Parking slots are available at the Campus in the Pauluskirchstraße.
By train
Wuppertal is well-connected in the long-distance network of Deutsche Bahn AG. There are connections to many major German cities several times a day, usually every 1-2 hours, which can be booked here.
The main station can be reached in 20 minutes by foot or in 9 minutes by taking the famous suspension railway.
The conference dinner will take place on Tuesday, October 1st, at the Alte Papierfabrik Wuppertal.

Guidelines for Presenters
- Please check the time and lecture room of your presentation in the daily program and on the info boards as there might have been changes.
- Technical staff is assigned to each lecture room to help with technical equipment.
- Each lecture room is equipped with a computer (Windows 10, Microsoft Office 2021, Acrobat Reader DC) and a beamer.
- Your slides shall be prepared in the format of 16:9, whereas 4:3 is also possible. A template for the presentations will not be provided.
- Please bring your presentation (PowerPoint file or PDF) on a USB stick so that you can transfer it to the laptop in the lecture room.
- You are asked to transfer your presentation at the very latest in the break before the session.
- Please be present at least 10 minutes prior to the start of your session and let the chairperson know you are there.
- Please make sure to stay in your session from the beginning in order to ensure smooth changes between the individual presentations.
- The time scheduled for the presentations is
– 20 min. (incl. discussion) for presentations in the Contributed Sessions,
– 45 min. for Plenary Lectures. - The chairpersons are requested to stop presentations after the scheduled time has passed.
Guidelines for Poster Presentations
- All poster presenters are asked to be present during the poster session.
- A poster size of A0 is recommended.
- There is no poster pitching event planned.
Registration
The registration desk will be in the Foyer of building HC at Campus Haspel.
Coffee breaks
Coffee, tea, soft drinks, fruit and cakes are served during all coffee breaks in the Foyer of building HC at Campus Haspel.
Lunch
A lunch for all registered participants will be served during all lunch breaks in the Foyer of building HC at Campus Haspel.
Name badge
Participants are kindly asked to wear and display their name badge at all times in order to access the conference venue and especially social events.
